Over the course of my growing up I have been able to learn about various sectors within the agricultural industry. I, of course, have grown up and continue to work on a full-time alfalfa hay farm. Outside of the arid west, hay making isn't necessarily prevalent or commonly known. I found this surprising, as my summers are spent working and playing around the 3 crops of alfalfa. I am truly fascinated by how farmers do things across our nation and the world. From fruit production to cattle operations and bee keeping to everything in between we all in it together as agriculturalists.

With this being said, I want to primarily focus on alfalfa hay production this week. I will include a link below to the Hay & Forage Grower website. There is a vast amount of articles relating to hay making in the west. The articles are current and short, easy-to-read and understand. I encourage you to take a look and dive into a topic you may not know a lot about.

I hope you will take the time to explore this website as well as make the time to educate yourself on a product that is widely produced in our area and a product that we are known for.

Thank you for taking the time to read and support this blog post.
